"What do you get when you combine Baxendale, the Pet Shop Boys, Kraftwerk and Ladytron, make it as European as possible and shift the drum machine into overdrive? This little number. Three angst-ridden, dancefloor friendly, popalong would-be hits with enough cool to make the Arctic look positively toasty.

Disco Riot is the opener, and it's a jumpy, synth-heavy bouncing joy of a number, with a desperately catchy chorus that grabs hold and won't let go. The similarities to Baxendale are impossible to deny. Lya Taboo is so close to Ladytron except perhaps a tad more lo-fi that it exhales cool.
There are shades of Miss Kittin, too, in the harsh-sounding vocal that speaks each lyric.

But Pick Up Star is the best track here. Coy, coquettish and almost evil-sounding, it's short, sweet, cool and frenetic. Brilliant. Definitely a band to watch, this."  PH.
